My Approach to Supervision
At Alma y Raíz we provide Supervision and Mentorship
My approach to supervision includes holding space for clinical skills and emotional processing. We explore how identity, race, power, and culture show up in our work. We support birth workers, perinatal social workers, and mental health clinicians. We will look at supervision from a lens that fosters anti-racist, trauma-informed, and reproductive justice-aligned care while encouraging reflection and boundaries as tools for sustainability and integrity.

A message from Kimberly about Supervision and Professional Development
Supervision at Alma y Raíz is more than a checklist of clinical hours - it's space for reflection, growth, and healing. My supervision style is relational, anti-oppressive, and rooted in social work values. As a bilingual Latina clinician, doula, and perinatal mental health provider, I hold space for emerging practitioners who want to serve with integrity while staying grounded in their identify and values.
