You don't need to do this alone.
At Alma y Raiz, we meet you with care that's informed by lived experience, systemic awareness, and a commitment to healing.

FAQ #2 Do you take insurance and where are sessions held?
Yes, I offer therapy in both English and Spanish.
FAQ # 3 Is therapy available in Spanish?
Not at all. while I specialize in reproductive and parenting transitions, I also work with people navigating trauma, identity exploration, loss, and life changes.
FAQ #4 Is this service only for people who are pregnant or postpartum?
A message from Kimberly to mothers and families about mental health during and after pregnancy
At Alma y Raíz, we believe that wellness is essential for every mother. Our dedicated team provides comprehensive maternal care, including prenatal and postnatal lactation counseling. We aim to support new parents by offering parental leave counseling and mental health services tailored to your individual needs.
My approach to therapy is relational, culturally grounded therapy that centers your voice and lived experience. My work is rooted in:
-
Narrative therapy: helping you reclaim your story and shift the narratives that no longer serve you
-
Somatic and mindfulness-based practices: supporting your nervous system regulation and emotional awareness
-
Trauma informed, anti-oppressive frameworks: understanding how systems impact mental health and meeting you with compassion, not judgement.
