How we care for you
  • These sessions are tailored to each client's values, cultural practices, and medical preferences. We discuss your preference for birthing, creating a birthing plan in conjunction with your medical care to ensure that you are comfortable moving into the birth of your child/children.

  • Coordination takes place prior to birth and shortly after birth. These include emotional 'check-ins during the fourth trimester. This is a time where baby and mother bond and sometimes their needs to be that additional support available to help mother and baby thrive.

  • We provide lactation and feeding support that is inclusive and affirming, regardless of feeding method. Resources and support are provided to you before and after birth. Support during this period is so important to and we want to make sure it goes as smoothly as possible during this transitional period.

Proud Father

A message from Kimberly to mothers and families about Birth and Postpartum Support

To every mother, parent, and growing family — I see you.

Birth and postpartum are often romanticized, yet the truth is they can be tender, overwhelming, and complex. You deserve support that holds your full experience — the joy, the fear, the questions, and the quiet in between.

I created Alma y Raíz because my own family’s journey showed me what was missing: culturally grounded care, advocacy that honors your story, and spaces that remind you that you don’t have to navigate this alone.

Whether you're birthing for the first time or healing after many births… whether you're joyful, grieving, or somewhere in between… you belong here. I am here to support you with compassion, clarity, and care that centers you — your voice, your roots, and your needs.

Let’s build the village you deserve.

Con cariño,
Kimberly
